Senior Product Manager, Audience
The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.
Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.
The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.
We're looking for a Senior Product Manager who is deeply motivated by meaningful challenges, values teamwork, and believes they can make our customers' world a better place. The ideal candidate is technical, data-driven, creative, and business savvy — someone who relentlessly pursues product-market fit and is energized by the ambiguity that comes with building at the frontier.
The kind of person who joins The Trade Desk Product Team is passionate, willing to pursue high-ambition, high-impact product bets, and then execute on them with discipline. We are committed to helping you grow, challenging you with hard, meaningful work, and celebrating our successes and learning from our failures together. We believe risk is part of making big bets — so we take them, learn from them, and move forward stronger. We also value strong leadership, asking our PMs to take on large, ambitious, and often ambiguous projects that can help extend our lead in the industry.
YOUR MARKET
Based in Sydney, you'll be the product voice for one of the fastest-growing digital advertising markets in the world. The Asia-Pacific region is experiencing explosive growth in programmatic advertising, and this role carries a mandate to shape how The Trade Desk wins in APAC and beyond.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As a Senior Product Manager on the Audience team, you will lead the next generation of audience products that help advertisers better understand their consumers through insights and reach them effectively through better targeting, improving performance, and growing their brand.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Defining the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the next generation of audience targeting, segmentation, and insights tools — setting the direction for how advertisers connect with their highest-value consumers.
- Designing and owning Agentic-AI product workflows — building systems where AI agents autonomously identify, segment, and activate high-value audiences at a scale no human workflow could match. You won't just use AI tools; you'll define how they behave.
- Owning end-to-end execution for audience and insights products, from discovery through delivery, iterating relentlessly based on data and customer feedback.
- Partnering deeply with Engineering, Data Science, and Business teams — aligning on strategy, navigating tradeoffs, and ensuring every release creates measurable customer impact.
- Being the voice of the customer — gathering requirements, designing prototypes, prioritizing and scoping releases that represent customers' needs, and working with engineering to bring those products to life and iterate on them over time.
- Operating as a strategic leader across APAC and globally — collaborating with distributed teams to ensure audience products meet the needs of diverse markets and regulatory environments.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Technical and Analytical Foundation
- Proven track record of using data to identify opportunities, make decisions, and iterate products toward desired outcomes. A background in data science, analytics, or engineering is a strong plus.
- 5+ years of Product Management experience with an academic or professional foundation in math, statistics, data science, or a related quantitative discipline.
- Ability to write detailed specifications that clearly articulate the "why" behind the problem, not just the "what."
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both large and small group settings.
- Demonstrated ability to align stakeholders across engineering, data science, business, and commercial disciplines.
- Experience working effectively with distributed, cross-functional teams across time zones.
- You have built complex products that took years of iteration to become great — and you can point to your specific contributions.
- A sustained track record of making significant, self-directed, end-to-end contributions to large-scale, impactful software projects.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and taking calculated risks. You solve complex technical problems with creative solutions while managing tradeoffs transparently.
