What we do:
The Trade Desk (TTD) is seeking a Senior Manager, Stock Administration, to join our team. This position will report to the Director, Stock Administration. This role will lead the global administration of TTD’s equity programs, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, scalable processes, and exceptional employee experience across multiple jurisdictions.
What you'll do:
- Lead the team in managing the administration of TTD’s equity programs for global employees, including restricted stock units (RSUs), stock options and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing stock administration team
- Oversee all aspects of the ESPP lifecycle, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and automate workflows
- Partner closely with the Senior Equity Program Manager to ensure alignment across equity programs and support compliance, governance, and employee education efforts
- Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements and automation initiatives that increase efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve scalability
- Develop and document policies, procedures and controls for equity administration
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on equity-related questions and programs
- Review the preparation of Section 16 reporting requirements, including Forms 3, 4 and 5
- Partner effectively and proactively with Human Resources, Legal, Accounting, Tax, Payroll, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant administration of equity programs
- Perform ad-hoc projects and initiatives in support of the Stock Administration team
- Lead the optimization and integration of Equity Edge Online (EEO) and related systems to improve automation, data accuracy, and operational efficiency
- Review the preparation and reconciliation of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of equity information
- Assist the Director, Stock Administration as needed
Who you are:
- 10+ years of progressive stock administration experience, including global equity plan administration for publicly traded companies
- Demonstrated success leading, mentoring, and developing stock administration professionals in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Deep expertise in administering complex global ESPP programs, including tax and regulatory considerations
- Work well in a high-pressure, high-volume environment and able to juggle multiple assignments, concurrent deadlines and changing priorities
- Clear communicator who can partner effectively across teams
- Hands-on experience with Equity Edge Online
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
- CEP designation preferred
- Working knowledge of U.S. federal, state and global taxation of equity compensation requirements
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel
- High attention to detail and ability to manage complex, high-volume workflows
- Excellent project management and process improvement skills

In accordance with various US state laws, the range provided is the Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.
