What we do

The Senior Recruiter will support our hiring efforts across the APAC region. With offices across Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan, Bangalore, Sydney, Tokyo and Korea, this is an exciting time to join a company at the forefront of digital advertising.

You will play a pivotal role in hiring at various levels of seniority within the Engineering organisation, from early in career Engineers to Leadership roles. You should be passionate about making connections and excited by the quest to find entrepreneurial and ambitious technical talent. We have evolved our hiring processes significantly to support the scaling of our engineering organisation and there is still a huge amount of operational development needed to continue the positive momentum we've had for technical hiring at The Trade Desk.  

In addition, you will help shape the next evolution of Talent Acquisition by leveraging AI and emerging technologies. This includes hands-on experimentation with AI agents, building lightweight tools, and applying new technologies to enhance how we identify, engage, and hire top engineering talent. We are looking for someone who is not just a user of tools, but a builder — curious, experimental, and passionate about reimagining recruiting through technology.

The role will be based out of an APAC office (Singapore, Sydney or Tokyo), with a flexible work arrangement and reports to the Head of Talent Acquisition for APAC. 

What you’ll do

  • Partner closely with Hiring Managers to deeply understand the function, team and requirements of open roles
  • Manage and drive full-cycle recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, feedback and offer management across all candidate levels
  • Find the best, brightest and most passionate people for The Trade Desk using creative and innovative sourcing strategies
  • Deliver scalable and forward-looking sourcing solutions to build strong, diverse pipelines of talent
  • Experiment with and build AI-powered solutions (e.g. AI agents, automation workflows, talent intelligence tools) to enhance sourcing, screening, and candidate engagement
  • Use low-code / no-code tools and “vibe coding” approaches to prototype and deploy recruiting tools that improve team productivity and candidate experience
  • Continuously explore, test and adopt emerging technologies (AI, automation, new recruiting tech) to drive innovation within Talent Acquisition
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to translate recruiting challenges into scalable, tech-enabled solutions, acting as a bridge between Talent Acquisition and technology
  • Influence business leaders and educate Hiring Managers on process, interview best practices and decision-making
  • Provide regular status updates to business stakeholders and maintain accurate tracking in the ATS
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and manage each stage of the hiring process with care to foster long-term engagement
  • Deliver a stellar candidate experience, creating new ways to surprise and delight candidates throughout the interview process
  • Implement and execute recruiting programmes to attract top talent
  • Represent The Trade Desk with integrity and professionalism, speaking authentically about our mission and culture
  • Maintain high levels of data integrity and apply a data-driven approach to recruiting

Who you are

  • Ideally 6+ years of in-house experience, recruiting for Engineering roles
  • Demonstrated track record of building strong relationships and influencing Hiring Managers and cross-functional partners
  • Deep knowledge of the tech talent landscape across APAC, particularly within Software Engineering
  • Proven success in engaging and closing passive candidates across APAC, including those with competing offers from top-tier companies
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and build scalable talent pipelines
  • Strong curiosity and passion for exploring and building with new technologies, including AI tools, automation platforms, and emerging recruiting tech
  • Hands-on mindset with experience or strong interest in building solutions (e.g. workflows, automations, internal tools) using low-code, no-code, or lightweight coding approaches
  • Comfortable experimenting with new ideas, learning quickly, and iterating in a fast-evolving technology landscape
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, embrace ambiguity, and adapt to change
