Senior Account Executive (Independent Agencies)

What you’ll do
- Acquire, build, and cultivate relationships within with senior leadership at independent advertising agencies. The Independents Team is one of our largest business units globally
- Work collectively with greater Sales, Client Services, and Trading teams to cultivate and grow accounts
- Own relationships with commercial and contract leads at anchor independent agencies
- Communicate the value of our media buying platform by aligning The Trade Desk’s media buying philosophy with our client’s
- Drive measurement led conversations to ensure longer-term partnerships
- Participate in product road map build out discussions based on agency needs with senior leadership, product, & engineering
- Take lead in building proactive recommendations, RFPs, expanding relationships within our clients beyond media, own our agency relationships top down
- Work closely with product, marketing and revenue teams to constantly optimize efforts relating to company-wide goals
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
- Contribute to The Trade Desk culture with a strong growth mindset
- Identify and close strategic up-selling opportunities by understanding core client business needs
- Build deep and lasting connections internally cross-functionally across The Trade Desk departments and specialty functions
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in digital advertising sales
- Independent agency experience is highly preferred
- Experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, DSP, or other online advertising role
- Programmatic platform sales experience highly preferred
- Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Existing relationships with decision makers at major agencies and advertisers
- Experience establishing longstanding, consultative client relationships
- Strong quantitative skills and negotiation ability, able to lead commercial negotiations for large accounts
- Strong communication skills with an ability to speak with VP and C-level clients at agencies and brands
- Passion for owning a room, closing deals, and getting wins
- Ability to travel several times in a quarter, depending on client needs
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations in a highly collaborative nature
