Vice President, Agency, Dentsu/Havas/Horizon

The Vice President, Agency (Dentsu/Havas/Horizon) will own and lead The Trade Desk’s global
strategic partnerships with three of its most critical agency groups, driving multi-year growth,
revenue outcomes, and enterprise alignment. This role combines executive relationship
management with operational leadership—responsible for building and scaling a high-performing
global sales organization, shaping partnership strategy, and ensuring seamless integration across
sales, product, marketing, and client services. Serving as the primary C-suite interface, the VP will
influence agency engagement models, guide complex commercial negotiations, and represent TTD
as a trusted, long-term partner while translating market needs into product and business strategy.


What you'll do:

  • Take end-to-end executive ownership of managing The Trade Desk’s (TTD) global
    relationships with Dentsu, Havas and Horizon, defining multi-year partnership strategy,
    engagement models and long-term growth priorities across each agency.
  • Build, lead, and evolve a world-class sales organization, including talent development,
    succession planning and performance management aligned to global strategy and
    goals
  • Own the global agency P&L, driving revenue growth, margin expansion, disciplined
    pricing, and cost optimization to maximize profitability and operating leverage.
  • Own global revenue outcomes, forecasts and investment priorities across each agency
    partnership, including proactive management of risk, opportunity concentration and
    long-term revenue diversification.
  • Drives integration across Sales, Client Services, Product, Marketing, Revenue Operations
    and Business Development Advertiser teams to cultivate a cohesive, enterprise-wide
    approach to agency growth and development.
  • Serve as the senior executive representative of TTD to C-Suite agency leaders globally,
    shaping strategic dialogue, resolving escalation and positioning TTD as a long-term
    partner to agency leadership
  • Communicate the value of our media buying platform by aligning The Trade Desk’s
    media buying philosophy and technology with our clients.
  • Influence product strategy discussions translating global agency needs, market
    dynamics and emerging risks prioritized for input with senior leadership, product, and
    engineering.
  • Oversee successful RFPs, including qualification and win strategy.
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and revenue teams to constantly optimize efforts
    relating to company-wide goals.
  • Build deep and lasting connections internally across The Trade Desk departments and
    specialty functions.
  • Act as a thought leader on agency, programmatic and supply-chain evolution,
    representing TTD externally with agency partners and internally with executive
    leadership.

Who you are:
We are looking for a commercially savvy, very senior sales individual to identify, grow, and nurture
Dentsu, Havas and Horizon agencies. You’ll need a proven track record of delivering results, building
relationships and collaborating with other teams, as you’ll be working with key holding company
partners.

  • 15 years of progressive experience in agency, media investment or performance media
  • Experience managing a team of senior level sellers.
  • Detailed understanding of the agency's business and P&L management proficiency
  • Strong ability to build successful business through complex collaboration (internal,
    agency and client).
  • Existing relationships with decision-makers at major agencies and advertisers.
  • Experience establishing longstanding, consultative global multi-agency relationships.
  • Strong quantitative skills and negotiation ability, able to lead commercial negotiations.
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to speak with C-level clients.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations.
  • This role follows a hybrid work model, with in-office expectations Tuesday through
    Thursday in our NYC office.

In accordance with various US state laws, the range provided is the Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $178,200—$326,600 USD
