We are looking for a hands-on Anaplan Model Builder to build,scale and optimizeAnaplan solutions for The Trade Desk. In this role, you will partner closely with teams across Commissions, FP&A, Accounting, and external partners to design, build and enhance Anaplan models that automate business processes, drive smarter decisions, improve operational efficiency, and support business growth. What you'll do:
  • Design, build, and enhance Anaplan models that support high-impact business processes across commissions, FP&A, accounting, and related business functions.
  • Develop sophisticated calculations, business logic, and model structures that are accurate and scalable.
  • Optimize core Anaplan components, including modules, lists, line items, dashboards, and data actions, to ensure strong performance and maintainability.
  • Support imports, exports, and integrations, and proactively troubleshoot data and process issues to keep the platform running reliably.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business goals, translate requirements into thoughtful technical solutions, and deliver enhancements that create measurable values.
  • Create clear documentation for models, business rules, and operating processes to support long-term scalability, compliance, and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows, simplify user experiences, and improve overall model efficiency and usability.
  • Contribute to testing, root cause analysis, and user enablement in an Agile environment, helping ensure high-quality solutions from design through rollout.
  • Support audit and control requirements through strong documentation, reliable data traceability, and well-governed platform practices.
Who you are:
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining Anaplan models.
  • Anaplan Model Builder certification required.
  • Strong understanding of Anaplan platform capabilities, modeling best practices, and multi-dimensional design concepts.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into Anaplan models, including lists, modules, line items, actions, and calculations.
  • Experience writing complex formulas and troubleshooting modeling or data issues in Anaplan, Excel, or related business modeling tools.
  • Ability to work independently to design and develop modeling solutions with limited supervision.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to reconcile data discrepancies, break down complex problems, and identify underlying business needs.
  • BS in Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document processes and collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Experience supporting commissions, financial planning, forecasting, accounting, or other finance-related business processes desired.
  • Familiarity with financial systems, financial modeling, and core accounting or FP&A concepts desired.
  • Experience working in a SCRUM or Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and drive work forward in a fast-paced environment.

In accordance with various US state laws, the range provided is the Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as variable compensation-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $70,500—$129,300 USD
