What we do:

Commercial Operations is comprised of four sub-organizations that work in concert to accelerate revenue growth in a consistent, scalable, data-driven way. We build and maintain the system that enables revenue growth and commercial performance — providing the infrastructure, insight, and partnership that enable the organization to grow revenue predictably and at scale.

Within Commercial Operations, Commercial Analytics provides the data-driven insights and pipeline intelligence that help commercial leaders make better decisions faster and increase revenue velocity. We partner across Revenue Operations, Business Technology, Client Operations, Sales, Finance, and Client Service to solve critical problems: creating a single source of truth for commercial performance data, extending pipeline visibility, delivering push/pull analytics for in-process and up-for-renewal deals, and building signal-based recommendations through AI and automation that connect decisioning patterns to revenue outcomes.

We are seeking a Principal Analyst, Commercial Analytics to serve as the technical anchor for this function. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on building and operationalizing the core components of our intelligence engine. Under the strategic direction of the Director of Commercial Analytics, you will be in charge of working through the technical components of this engineering-grade infrastructure—specifically building the signal domains, processing layers, and routing engines designed to power Go-To-Market sales teams. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and technical execution, ensuring the systems we build are robust, scalable, and act as a trusted catalyst for sales action.

What you'll do:

  • Scale GTM Delivery Systems: Transition pilot programs into production-hardened, automated tools. You will own the system monitoring and reliability engineering necessary to ensure our revenue engines provide full portfolio coverage with zero downtime.
  • Architect the Data Foundation: Build and maintain the Data Abstraction Layer and Schema Registry. You will reconcile disparate commercial, product, and marketing data sets into a unified, governed layer that allows all future projects to ship faster.
  • Build the Intelligence Routing Engine: Execute the technical build of the system that processes 'Trigger -> Prediction -> Recommendation.' Your focus is on low query latency and ensuring insights reach sellers with urgency and relevance.
  • Absorb Technical Operations: Take ownership of 'hidden work'—pipeline maintenance, data quality checks, and dashboard upkeep—to reclaim capacity for new, high-complexity builds.
  • Implement Engineering Excellence: Establish the CI/CD practices, automation, and data testing frameworks (e.g., GitHub Actions, CircleCI) required to meet production-grade standards for real-time sales support.
  • Technical Mentorship: Serve as the 'Educator at Heart' for the team. You will establish 'the how' for engineering standards and partner with the Director to mentor junior analysts on building fault-tolerant, scalable data systems.

Who you are:

  • Systems Builder: 7+ years of experience building production systems end-to-end. You have a track record of building 'Founding Engineer' level infrastructure from scratch and managing high-volume data flows.
  • Pipeline & Integration Expert: Proven ability to build custom ETL pipelines and automate complex reporting/compliance integrations that previously required dedicated manual staff.
  • Reliability Mindset: Experience with async processing (SQS), idempotency, and building fault-tolerant integrations with external APIs to ensure data accuracy during peak volumes.
  • Technical Polyglot & Fast Learner: While you may have a background in TypeScript, JavaScript, or Node.js, you have the drive and hunger to master Python as the primary language for our intelligence toolchains.
  • Tooling & Observability Pro: Deep experience with modern observability (Datadog), containerization (Docker), and automation tools to maintain platform-wide reliability.
  • Collaborative Communicator: Ability to translate complex technical builds into clear updates for leadership and understand the practical needs of sales teams.
  • Mentor: A passion for raising the technical bar of a team through architecture reviews, code reviews, and 1-on-1 technical guidance.
