Inventory Development Director

The Trade Desk is changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. How? With a media buying platform that helps brands deliver a more insightful and relevant ad experience for consumers –– and sets a new standard for global reach, accuracy, and transparency. We are proud of the culture we have built. We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk, and we are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day.

So, if you are talented, driven, creative, and eager to join a dynamic, globally-connected team, then we want to talk!

What you'll do:

  • Hunt, build, and deepen partnerships across the CTV, App, and Web ecosystems with local Korean broadcasters, gaming publishers, content owners, and platforms (FAST or IPTV).
  • Establish and expand programmatic inventory access while getting into the weeds to validate supply quality, drive monetization growth, and lead hands-on operational problem-solving (e.g., troubleshooting bid streams and optimizing floor prices).
  • Lead complex contract negotiations across TTD’s suite of products, including OpenPath, OpenAds, UID2, and Pubdesk etc.
  • Champion Korea’s open internet by educating partners on the importance of Supply Path Optimization (SPO)—including transparency and quality control—and guiding them toward best practices that maximize their overall yield.
  • Serve as the internal technical and partnerships subject-matter expert on Korean supply. Partner seamlessly with the commercial (demand) teams to ensure our inventory roadmap perfectly aligns with incoming agency pipeline.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to provide the leadership team with on-the-ground insights that shape the long-term technical roadmap for Korea Inventory.

This role is an agile, individual contributor position reporting to the GM, Inventory Development (North Asia).

Who you are:

  • You have 8-10+ years of programmatic experience in supply-side sales, yield management, or business development (DSP, SSP, data, or media company). Crucially, you still love getting your hands dirty in the platform. You are a self-starter who does not need a large AdOps team behind you to execute a project from start to finish.
  • You have the ability to rapidly grasp new technology and product changes. You are highly comfortable with complex programmatic plumbing (OpenRTB, Prebid/Header Bidding, SDK integrations, and Identity solutions).
  • You have a warm, active network of monetization and yield decision-makers across South Korea’s premium publisher space, specifically within local CTV/OTT apps and the mobile gaming ecosystem. Experience with both digital and TV advertising buying is strongly preferred.
  • You possess strong quantitative and negotiation abilities. You can confidently transition publishers from flat-rate traditional sales into sophisticated programmatic yield strategies (PMPs, PG).
  • You have proven experience leading long-term, complex partnership cycles while collaborating seamlessly with Sales, Account Management, Product, Marketing, Legal, and Finance teams.
  • You have proven communication, questioning, and listening skills in both formal and informal settings. You know how to translate highly technical ad-tech concepts into clear commercial value for publishers while meeting strict deadlines.
  • You have experience in leading long-term sales/partnership cycles and can demonstrate trust built with existing partners.
