WHAT WE DO:

At The Trade Desk, we help brands and agencies make smarter advertising decisions through our leading global media-buying platform. We are now looking for a Senior Account Manager to strengthen our agency team in Germany.

In this role, you will own and grow a portfolio of agency and corresponding brand accounts. You will act as a strategic partner to your clients: growing and deepening relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and turning data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations. As a programmatic expert, you help clients navigate a complex ecosystem and get the most out of The Trade Desk platform.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  1. Own and grow a portfolio of key agency and corresponding brand accounts by building trusted relationships and aligning account strategy, performance, and retention with client business objectives.
  2. Act as a trusted consultant and The Trade Desk platform expert, advising clients on how to execute effective, data‑driven, and innovative marketing strategies.
  3. Partner closely with Sales, Trading, and cross‑functional teams to onboard new clients, scale existing accounts, and unlock incremental revenue opportunities.
  4. Lead client onboarding and ongoing enablement, including training on programmatic fundamentals, platform enhancements, new features, and partner integrations.
  5. Proactively lead accounts by anticipating client needs, guiding next steps, and driving long‑term growth beyond day‑to‑day execution.
  6. Represent client needs internally by influencing product and partnership development, contributing to Client Services best practices, and supporting the onboarding and development of new team members.
WHO YOU ARE:
  1. 5–7+ years of experience in online advertising, ad tech, or digital media, including 3+ years in a client‑facing role such as account management, strategic services, or consulting.
  2. Proven track record of growing revenue and strategic value within accounts by deeply understanding client objectives and recommending best‑in‑class solutions.
  3. Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, measurement solutions, and the technical ecosystem, ideally gained within DSPs, SSPs, publishers, agencies, or MarTech environments.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging senior agency and brand stakeholders, leading workshops, and presenting to larger groups; fluent in English and German.
  5. Ability to manage multiple high‑priority accounts and initiatives in parallel, prioritize effectively, and consistently deliver high‑quality work on time.
  6. Sales driven mindset: able to lead accounts proactively, think several steps ahead, and move clients forward beyond day‑to‑day task management.
  7. Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations, give constructive feedback, and deliver outstanding service.
  8. Curious and analytical mindset: you enjoy working with data, understanding the “why,” and turning insights into clear actions; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience preferred.
