What we do

The Trade Desk is transforming the way global brands and agencies reach audiences through

the open internet. In Taiwan—a strategically critical and fast-growing market in APAC—our

Business Development team plays a central role in driving this transformation. As a Business

Development Director in Taiwan, you will help to lead our commercial efforts across key

domestic and outbound advertising brands as well as agency holding companies.

You’ll cultivate trusted, strategic partnerships with our top clients, combining industry expertise

with a strong understanding of each client’s business to drive meaningful, long-term growth. In

this senior role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to shape vision,

influence executive relationships, and deliver commercial success through a consultative

approach.

What you’ll do

• Leads business development efforts for The Trade Desk’s largest or most strategic

• Proactively builds and maintains relationships with top executives at brand advertisers

and agency stakeholders.

• Acts as a master relationship builder, sales leader, and creative problem solver with

strong emotional intelligence and professionalism.

• Serves as a consultative partner to clients and internal stakeholders alike.

• Accurately manage and communicate monthly forecasts and pipeline.

• Partners closely with senior leaders to define and execute strategic initiatives.

• Leads collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective client management.

• Thinks beyond core sales responsibilities to understand and contribute to the business

holistically.• Represents The Trade Desk at industry events and serves as a public-facing voice for the

company.

• Identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiency and generate revenue; lead

execution of key strategic projects.

• Acts as a bridge between Business Development and senior TTD leadership, ensuring

alignment and communication.

• Participates in product feedback sessions and working groups when invited, sharing

client and market insights.

• Takes personal ownership of company success and drives impact at a market level.

• Evangelizes TTD’s values and vision to industry leaders; regularly presents at industry

events to shape market perception.

• Contribute to The Trade Desk culture by bringing your full self.

Who you are

• Proven track record in business development and local/outbound sales within the

Taiwan advertising ecosystem, with deep knowledge of the local media landscape,

agency structures, and cultural nuances.

• Leads strategic partnerships with top-tier Taiwan advertisers and agency holding

groups.

• Drives new business growth by identifying, pitching, and converting high-potential

accounts across verticals.

• Builds and nurtures long-term, consultative relationships with key decision-makers at

both brands and agencies.

• Holds existing senior-level relationships with major advertisers and agencies in Taiwan.

• Serves as a senior leader within the Taiwan BD team, mentoring and enabling junior and

mid-level sellers to think and operate strategically.

• Demonstrated success in sales leadership roles, consistently exceeding revenue targets

and driving sustainable growth.

• Skilled in building from the ground up—an agile, proactive self-starter who thrives in

fast-changing and ambiguous environments.• Brings strong negotiation experience, including leading complex commercial deals with

regional and global accounts.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable

commercial strategies.

• Comfortable engaging in technical product discussions, including roadmap prioritization

and platform scoping.

• Effective communicator with strong executive presence, able to confidently engage and

influence C-level stakeholders.

• Passionate about closing deals, owning the room, and driving measurable results.

• Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, client

services, finance, and legal.

• Able to advocate for Taiwan market needs within global teams while aligning with

broader company strategy.

• Active contributor to global initiatives, including multi-market client growth, product

feedback loops, and international expansion.

• Bilingual fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, enabling effective communication across global and local team
