Sr Director, Technical Account Management
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
The Senior Director, Technical Account Management (TAM) will lead and grow a team of consultants, dedicated to deepening our technical partnerships with clients and partners. This individual plays a critical role in translating company initiatives through streamlined technical operations. We are looking to hire someone who understands web technology, learns fast and is not afraid of complexity. You are comfortable leading a team and managing managers.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Provide oversight of managers of a portfolio of technical accounts spanning Holding Companies, Independent agencies and Ad-tech partners. Participate in strategic meetings to support engagements that require technical consultation.
- Know our capabilities and differentiators to help the team identify opportunities to leverage them to solve business needs and support revenue growth.
- Lead the development of project tracking and portfolio-specific goals based on the company’s vision and define a framework for reporting progress with leadership.
- Manage for team bandwidth, delivering a high-level of support from your managers to pivot based on company priorities.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with other functional leaders by solving business challenges together, identifying opportunities for growth, and collaborating to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the organizations.
Thoughtfully identify future leaders of the business and grow talent on the team by developing the strengths of individuals for the next level of their careers
SKILLS SUMMARY:
- Strong acumen for technical consulting and adept in influencing client technical investments that drive positive business outcomes.
- Must enjoy developing technical talent around a consulting practice. You should have a passion for educating, training, and enabling confidence to bring creativity to problem solving.
- Must have the skills to develop leaders.
- Expert project/program manager responsible for setting timelines, stakeholder management, and independently driving forward. Superb attention to detail is an absolute must.
- Experience with a formal project management method is a plus.
- Superior relationship management skills including the ability to influence/advocate for your team in our collaborations with the Commercial and Technical organizations
- Effective decision making tactics that strives to clearly define the context, stay solution oriented and when necessary, builds advocacy with your leadership team
- Quickly grasp & learn new technical subjects and be able to explain them to others.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- 10+ years of work experience in a technical client-facing role
- At least 3+ years in a product/technical management role
- Proficient working knowledge of Excel, Office and Outlook is a must
- Experience with SQL, web technologies/web programming languages, and API’s is strongly preferred
- Demonstrable creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform in a fluid, fast-paced work environment
- Experience working with clients, product, and engineering teams - with the ability to break down complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience managing a regional team
- Experience hiring and building a team
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively
- Experience with digital advertising technology is a major plus

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range.
