WHAT WE DO:

This role sits within the NAMER leadership team and is part of a group of commercial leaders responsible for growing advertisers and agencies spend through The Trade Desk’s platform. We build trust and loyalty with our customers by providing them with exceptional service, an open and transparent advertising platform, and useful insights which drive campaign returns and business performance for brands.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Develop and deliver on a vision and strategy for TTD, Canada's entire Business Development/Sales and Client Services/Trading teams
  • Lead the TTD, Canada team of high-performing and experienced sales and client services professionals
  • Oversee and build upon relationships with senior leadership at Canada's largest advertising agencies and brands
  • Attract, develop, and retain top sales talent
  • Work cross-functionally with local and globalglobal client services and trading teams to cultivate accounts, delivering and exceeding revenue and customer retention metrics
  • Contribute to the product development process representing the market needs through active participation in product reviews by providing market & account insights
  • Participate in product and partnership road map build out discussions based on client needs with senior leadership, product, & engineering
  • Take the lead in responding to RFP’s or new inner agency opportunities, including qualification & win strategy
  • Work closely with product, marketing, and revenue teams to constantly optimize efforts relating to company-wide goals
  • Identify and close strategic up-selling opportunities by understanding core client business needs
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unrivaled selling propositions and differentiators
  • Provides guidance to leadership on performance management and employee development
  • Mentor and manage others in the organization with account responsibility
  • Be the representative for TTD in the region, including speaking at high profile events, representing the team within Industry Organizations, etc.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 10+ years of experience managing and developing other sales and/or customer service leaders in the Canadian market.
  • 15-20+ years of experience in digital advertising in outbound sales, preferably in programmatic or other data-driven marketing
  • Outstanding sales leadership experience, with a track record of up-selling and winning net new accounts
  • Experience working with Canadian media agencies and brands
  • Experience building longstanding, consultative client relationships
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to manage commercial negotiations
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue expectations
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to speak with C-level clients
  • “Systems Thinking”, to understand what products, partnerships, people, etc. to prioritize to build a long term growth plan for the region
  • Proven ability to manage within a matrix environment, & collaborate across multiple departments
  • Experience at an online publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, SEM platform, DSP, or other online advertising roles preferred

CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only: In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $167,477—$307,041 CAD
