Job Duties:Monitor performance and quality of existing features, as well as respond to issues raised by customers or stakeholders to improve existing features, including adding new capabilities, upgrading interfaces, improving performance, or correcting errors. Work closely with business stakeholders, user experience designers and researchers to understand and determine the scope, cost, impact, risks and success criteria associated with making changes to existing and developing features with the highest of quality within the time and cost constraints. Use gathered requirements to create high-level design documents for feature and system development including items such as overall design, components and stakeholders involved, performance impact, risks, test plans, and other considerations, and vet these designs with colleagues from various teams across the organization, and make any modifications after discussions. Gather requirements for new features or software systems from customers and other business stakeholders, prepare software designs and estimates for the work, and develop the code to implement the design and requirements, using a variety of tools (including server-side technologies such as .NET and SQL, as well as client-side technologies such as JavaScript, ReactJS, HTML and CSS). Use and modify existing programming and testing methodologies (both manual and automated) to validate work and evaluate the testing strategies of colleagues to ensure delivery of features (with documentation) of the highest quality. Participate in all aspects of designing, building, and delivering products to clients. Work on large-scale distributed systems coordinating thousands of servers in cloud and physical data centers around the world, petabyte-scale data challenges, machine learning, advanced visualizations, and interactive user interfaces. Improve the user interface web platform that runs the business functions of The Trade Desk including investigating bugs, designing features and improvements as well as implementing those into the database, and back-end and front-end software support. Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to gather requirements, product design specifications and implementing them.

Salary: $166,500 - $249,700/year

Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Must have four (4) years of experience with JavaScript, TypeScript and CSS, including client-side libraries and frameworks. Must have three (3) years of experience with: one or more of the following languages on the server-side: C#, Java, or similar; and software development code editors and version control systems. Must have two (2) years of experience with Agile Scrum tools.

CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only: In accordance with CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $166,500—$249,700 USD
