WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
In this role, you will help the Product team create instruments for acquiring media for advertising, that leverages real-time data. These instruments are a foundational element of accessing the $1T/yr advertising market.
We need you to work with large datasets to characterize the behavior of the real-time advertising market, leverage and possibly improve existing models for advertising volume forecast, and use creative thinking based on solid econometrics frameworks. While the foundation of these instruments is mathematical, they also need to be adopted at scale in an already existing market, thus, they should strive to be easy to understand, and to be compelling to internal and external stakeholders.
A successful outcome of this internship is the preparation of a document that outlines our plans.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Course work in economics and quantitative econometrics, at the advanced undergraduate, graduate or post-doc level.
- Ability to harmonize the mathematics of a theoretical model with the expectations of stakeholders who may not have an advanced grasp of these topics.
- Command of a toolset to query, analyze and model large datasets, including SQL, python, databricks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint to create materials to share with stakeholders
- Excellent written communication and strong presentation skills both in large and small groups.
- Strong interest in applying technology and economics theory to a novel field, addressing problems in the advertising market.
- Gritty -- sometimes solutions take creative thinking and multiple iterations. You try many different approaches to the right answer.
- Collaborative -- the best PMs are not necessarily those with the best ideas, but those that ensure the right thing gets done.
- Selfless -- Product Management is about making sure the best work gets done by the team, and making sure they share in the credit.
- Empathic -- As a PM you are the voice of the customer and need to represent them from a position of deep understanding.
- Strong interest in what computing can do -- a passion for technology and how to apply that to problems of massive scale .
- Have an expected graduation date between Fall 2025 and Summer 2026
- Can work in one of our physical office locations for the duration of your internship. Role is available in Boston, MA.
