    What we do

    The Cybersecurity team protects The Trade Desk’s people, systems, networks, and data.Every day is different in an ever-evolving world of threats, vulnerabilities, and risks. We serve as the eyes and ears of the enterprise, responding to alerts, building detections, and using our deep systems knowledge to threat model attacks against the organization. The Cybersecurity Operations team is responsible for multiple security functions to include Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, and Threat Huntingand works closely with related security and compliance teams, as well as works across business functions in the organization. We get the opportunity to work with everyone from on-site staff, IT, and developers to Legal, Marketing, and People Operations regularly. We work multi-functionally with key partners throughout the organization.

    What you’ll do:

    • Own a meaningful project, end-to-end. We believe strongly in ownership at The Trade Desk, and we are committed to you having something substantial to show for your time here that will make a positive impact for the team
    • Receive one-on-one mentorship from an experienced team member
    • Collaborate with a globally connected team
    • Gain hands on experience across various Information Security disciplines – Incident Response, Security Operations, and much more.
    • Continually work with the larger Cybersecurity team to iterate and optimize processes and procedures,as well as enhance the global standard.
    • Together with the rest of the team, you will support Cybersecurity initiatives throughout the enterprise.

    Who you are:

    • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program with a technology focus
    • Have an expected graduation date between Fall 2024 and Summer 2025
    • A quick and self-directed learner. We provide close support and mentorship, but expect you to take ownership of your project
    • Have an interest and deep curiosity to learn more about how things should work and how they break, and how security factors in every facet of modern business operations.
    • Love working cross-functionally and thrive on doing something different each day
    • Hungry to join a team that is responsible for the program that identifies, designs, implements and monitors the processes and technologies that ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of The Trade Desks data and information systems.

    NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.     At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $28—$37 USD
